Build with us.
Every repository takes pull requests. Nothing to sign, nobody to ask. These are the four steps every CONTRIBUTING file asks for, in their order.
Four steps from issue to merge.
Find an issue, or open one.
Look for the labels good first issue and help wanted. If what you want to change has no issue yet, open one.
Talk before the big change.
A substantial change starts as an issue and a short conversation, before the pull request. A typo does not need one.
Branch, pull request, review.
One branch per change. The pull request targets main and gets at least one review.
Changelog and commit messages.
A change people will notice gets an entry in CHANGELOG.md. Commit messages follow Conventional Commits: feat:, fix:, chore:, docs:.
Bring your agent.
Every repository carries an AGENTS.md. Your agent reads it before it touches a line, and its pull request goes through the same review as yours.
